Fares and Timetable, Without the Fog

Argentine pricing moves fast enough that any page quoting exact pesos is lying within months. Here’s the honest structure instead, with the numbers held loosely and the logic held firmly.

The fare structure

Tourist class - the standard coach, and honestly the right one for the 50-minute ride - lands around US$40-55 at 2026 exchange rates, cheaper in the winter season, dearer in the southern summer. Premium and first classes add panoramic glass and service for roughly half again to double. Children 4-12 pay about half; under-4s ride free on a lap. Two things are never included: town transfers on the bare station ticket (check what your seller bundles) and the national park’s own entry fee, which everyone pays at the gate regardless of ticket class.

The timetable pattern

Summer (November-March): the full service - the current published pattern runs three departures a day from the End of the World Station, morning, midday and mid-afternoon. Winter (roughly July-September): a reduced timetable, often one or two runs, frequently through real snow - a quieter, cheaper, moodier product that photographers quietly prefer. Exact times shift with the season’s daylight; treat the pattern as the plan and confirm the clock when you book - the railway publishes the current timetable on its own site, and that page is the authority.

Where the combos fit the money

The $69 park-and-train entry combo beats assembling the same pieces yourself once transfers are priced in. The $190 grand day adds the Beagle Channel navigation - the piece that turns the ticket into the day people rate 4.7. Bare-ticket buyers: the railway’s own site and the ticket listings sell the same seats; buy whichever bundles the transfer you need.
